New York City

God is so faithful, I am thankful that there is food on the table and we are still able to pay our bills, praise God. I was awake last night, or rather early this morning at about 2:00 a.m. and couldn't go back to sleep. This has been the case many nights in a row since we moved to New York City back in July of this year. I began to pray and read my Bible. I was feeling....I guess kind of like a kid does, when they don't know what is goin' on, what's going to happen next and what the plan is for the day. Do you remember feeling like that as a little girl or boy? Probably not, because, for the most part you knew that you didn't really have to worry about it, because your parents were in charge. Even though I was feeling like that and have been feeling like that since we got here, deep, deep down inside, I still feel a sense of peace. It's like this; I really, really, really want to know what's next! I want to know where we are headed and what the next step is in our lives. I want to know this now! Sigh.

So this morning, the regular part of the morning...after dropping my daughter off at school, I spent some more time studying and praying. I sat and listened to a teacher of God's Word this morning and was reminded of a few things. I Peter 5:5-6, "...God opposes proud people, but he helps everyone who is humble, Be humble in the presence of God's mighty power, and he will honor you when the time comes. God cares for you, so turn all your worries over to him." Vs 10b, ...but God will make you complete, steady, strong, and firm. Vs 11, God will be in control forever! Amen." And then from book of James 1:2-4, "...be glad, even if you have a lot of trouble. You know that you learn to endure by having your faith test. But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything." Then from Proverbs 3, "Trust God", vs 5, "With all your heart you must trust the Lord and not your own judgement. Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow."

With all of that said and read...I give out a huge sigh, a peaceful one. So here we are, today, now living about 3 1/2 months in THE CITY THAT "NEVER" SLEEPS!!! And... now I too also never sleep:)-figuratively and literally speaking. But, we continue to put our little hands into his huge and grand one and...follow. I am at peace with that. I remind myself I am most centered and together when I center myself with Christ!

Pray for us...
Feliza
